The water is the easy way out. You would have noticed this of course. Straight to the top you go, just a handful of well timed jumps away from the end.

Nothing wrong with taking the water. The water is not malicious, just as the mountain is not angelic. The water is not leading you astray, or tempting you in any way.

There are spawn points in the map to practice with. Is using any of them really any different from the water? It seems different, of course. It seems more effortful.

Is effort really the measure of something's worth, though? There are many things which take effort but aren't really all that impressive.

On the flip side, there are many things which are rather easy to do but still incredible. Does the lack of effort take away from them?

The water is the easy way out, but there's nothing wrong with easy. Of course, often there is nothing satisfying with easy either. The water is the easy way out when all you care about is a way out.
